“My name is Michael Roy Turner and I will be forever grateful for Dr. St. Hilaire’s never failing support and encouragement during my post Masters DNP program. I hesitated going into the program as I knew the degree of commitment it would entail and that, coupled with the fact that I was working so many hours at my present position, added to my indecision. I was also unsure that I would be able to successfully complete the necessary but very difficult course work. Nonetheless, I decided to forge ahead, applied, and was accepted!! Most of the program was pretty straight forward and I was able to handle it rather well. It wasn’t until later in the program when the paper and poster were due to be completed that things really took a turn and taking a break from the program seemed something that I felt I needed to do. However, at this point we had already been assigned an advisor for our final project, and upon meeting Dr. St Hilaire, I was able to explain my desires for my project and what I had competed to that point. I felt as if I was never going to be able to get it completed and that I had been focused on the wrong topic the entire time. Dr. St. Hilaire was able to calm me down and help me organize the information I had and redirect my main focus of the project, and it finally all started to come together. I can easily say that without Dr. St. Hilaire’s intervention I would not be a DNP at this moment. I will be eternally grateful for her advice support and motivation while mentoring me through me scholarly project. ”
“The Sacred Garden Marriage Conference was so impactful for us, hearing how God moved in the couples marriages that shared. How their marriage could not prosper without God being the centerfold. Also , how marriage cannot grow without each spouse relying on God and not themselves. How marriage is a partnership and not a dictatorship. The masquerade ball was phenomenal! To be able to dance with your spouse and the food tasted delicious and the atmosphere was so romantic. I look forward to next year’s conference. We would like to thank everyone for putting this together and planning everything so perfectly. We had an incredible time.”

What was most impactful to me was the suggestion of praying with my husband, as simple that is. We pray mainly in our separate corners but the reminder of praying together was refreshing. “I really enjoyed the Sacred Garden Marriage Conference. It was truly a blessing to hear unique perspectives from the couples that shared. It was a refreshing time for my wife and I. It was a great opportunity to be able to spend time rejuvenating my relationship with her. I was really encouraged by the different classes. The communication class resonated with me the most. I love how the couple have real life examples of what godly communication looks like. I LOVED what was touched on with intellectual intimacy in the Love and Intimacy session. I am looking forward to attending next year!”
